“The Young People’s Chorus of New York City has announced the release of a new album, titled “Just Songs (Unplugged).”
This compilation of acoustic solo works features lyrical themes based on social issues, and comes as part of YPC’s new commissioning program, “Just Songs,” which showcases original music created by company alumni. Among the artists included in the album are Blaize Adam, Nia Drummond, Caroline Kuhn, Jordan Reynoso, Nate Sabat, Monia Soyemi, and Nia Soyemi. The artists will also work with YPC’s choral members, grades three through 10, to perform a new set of choral arrangements titled ‘Just Songs (Amplified).’
